CLEANING INITIATIVE Cleaning initiative was our topic of project for WWF Eco internship. MANUFACTURE: Most of plastic bags are made of coal, petroleum, so they reduce reserves of fossil fuels. Harmful gases are given off during manufacture. Example: carbon monoxide, VAC, etc. DISPOSAL: Disposal of plastic is a major problem, many techniques used to dispose it but all have some flaws and failed. RECYCLE: Recycling also produce many toxic material of many kind. POLLUTION: *If you dump plastic bags it took more than 500 years to decompose. * It reduces soil fertility. It piled up in landfills. It’s burning can cause asthma and cancer.
